EXPORT SALES

The Export Sales Unit deals with marketing of Rubber to foreign customers mostly by contracts. It establishes the contracts with our partners and follows them up on a specialized computerized system. It also ensures that the finished rubber grades are produced, handled and shipped accordingly, for these contracts to be respected adequately.

The department is headed by the Manager Export Sales (MES) with other support staff at its Tiko main office and the three central factories to coordinate its activities.

The four different grades of rubber are marketed to different customers according to their requests. The prices fluctuates periodically according to the market trend. As at October 2005 the indicative market price for the different grades are as follows:

LOCAL SALES

Local Sales unit deals with the marketing of palm oil and palm kernel for local consumption. It is under the General Manager’s Office and has support staff both at its Bota base and in each of the 2 mills.

REFINED AND BOTTLED PALM OIL
READY FOR CONSUMPTION

The palm oil is marketed by several methods. The refined oil is sold to commercial dealers directly from the storage tank in either Idenau, Bota or Mondoni. The prices in this case are negotiable depending on the quality and quantity and range from 400 FCFA / Kg. (i.e. $0.8 / Kg or €0.61 / Kg)

The top quality oil is bottled in 20 litres, 5 liters and 1 llitre transparent plastic containers. The current indicative prices for these are as follows:
